Dayton travels to VCU tonight to try and get revenge on a loss earlier this season. VCU is an incredible 15-0 at home and is head and shoulders above everyone else in the A10 conference. Despite Dayton being super solid in the conference, and they should make it deep in the A10 tournament, VCU is simply so much better. Dayton is 4-4 on the road, all things considered, that’s pretty good. But it isn’t enough to like them in this spot. VCU has a crazy advantage on the boards and from deep. Their defense is incredibly stout, ranking in the top 10 in the country and their offense is extremely efficient as well. VCU does have a key starting guard who looks to be out this game with an ankle injury from last game and so far public bets are coming in on Dayton. My model has us backing VCU tonight. Let’s win.
